The noise from Vindin’s wind farm in Svalskulla in Närpes is lower than estimated, measurements show.
The wind farm consists of five wind turbines. Measurements show that the noise levels are lower than guidelines levels and also lower than expected in the planning stage.
FCG, Finnish Consulting Group performed the measurements. The measurements were done at the nearest accomodation, located 1.1 km from the wind farm. Today the guideline values are 40 dB at nighttime at 8 m/s. At higher windspeeds than 8 m/s the background noises dominates over the wind turbine´s sound.
